Why Clipt
I made Clipt because CapCut got expensive, and you don't get much for what you pay. It's also a lot of app if all you want is good captions on a short clip.

This is an early version
Clipt is new and I'm building it in public, so some things will change and some will break. If you follow along, you'll see what's coming first. Early supporters may get discounts or take part in giveaways as Clipt grows. Nothing is promised yet.

What it does
- Word-timed captions
- Every word is timed to the audio. The word being spoken is highlighted, and you can edit any of them.
- Vertical crop
- Landscape video becomes 9:16. On Pro, the crop follows the person speaking.
- Music and sound effects
- Free-to-use tracks and effects. Music gets quieter while someone talks.
- Long video to clips
- Upload a long video and get the strongest 30–60 second parts as separate clips.
- Translation
- Captions in 11 languages, including Norwegian.
- Titles and hashtags
- A suggested title and description you can edit before posting.
- Jump cuts and zoom
- Remove pauses and “um”s in one switch, and zoom in on the big moments.
- Split screen
- You on top, a looping background below. Use ours or upload your own.
- Thumbnails and scheduling
- Make a 1280×720 thumbnail from your best frame, then schedule the post.

Is the free plan really free?
Yes. 5 exports with a small watermark, then 1 every day, forever. No card needed.
Can I use the clips from the clip finder on monetized videos?
We only show Creative Commons and free-stock clips that allow reuse, and we add the credit line for you. Always add your own commentary or edits.
What counts as a clip?
Each exported MP4. Pro includes 100 a month, Ultra 300. Previews and edits are unlimited.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
